Superior coverage - flawless application. Formulated with apple stem cells and next generation hyaluronate for skin restoration. The Absolute Foundation is a loose mineral foundation that performs like a liquid. The lightweight powder provides long-wearing, full coverage with a soft-as-silk flawless finish. Formulated to reduce fine lines, reinforce the skin barrier, and provide long lasting hydration while promoting skin stem cell resiliency.
KEY INGREDIENTS
• APPLE STEM CELLS
Increases the vitality of skin stem cells and combats the signs of chronological aging
This advanced technology ingredient, increases the regenerative potential of the skin
• HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM HYALURONATE
A next generation hyaluronate developed to adhere to the skin for maximum hydration.
The skin’s surface is, by nature, negatively charged. Because of this negative charge, it is able to effectively attract and retain positively charged molecules. Sodium Hyaluronate, and Hyaluronic Acid (first and second generation HA’s) are negatively charged. But active beauty scientists have grafted a new generation of HA, and based on its cationisation, have successfully switched its negative charge, to a positive one.
The results… are unlike anything before.
It’s a novel generation of hyaluronic acid with a low molecular weight, and a high cationisation degree which multiplies its skin adhesion properties to deliver never before seen benefits.
• BORON NITRIDE
This unique ingredient offers a multitude of benefits that contribute to a flawless, long-wearing complexion.
Soft Focus Effect: light-diffusing properties create a soft focus effect, helping to blur the appearance of fine lines and imperfections for a smoother, more youthful-looking complexion.
Slip Modifier: ensuring the powder foundation glides on effortlessly and blends seamlessly into the skin without caking or settling into pores.
Enhanced Wear Time: by creating a smoother, more even base, boron nitride helps to extend the wear time, and color pay-off of your foundation, keeping your skin looking fresh and flawless all day long.
Improved Texture: creates a luxurious, velvety texture.
• POLYMETHYLSILSEQUIOXANE (PMSQ): a versatile silica polymer that offers numerous benefits when incorporated into cosmetic formulations. In powder foundation, it excels in providing:
Smooth Application: by imparting a silky, smooth texture to the powder, ensuring effortless application and blending.
Skin Comfort: Its non-comedogenic nature promotes a comfortable wear experience, minimizing the risk of clogged pores.
The signature VRAI Blurring Effect: a soft-focus effect, helping to refine the appearance of pores and fine lines for unparalleled results. A true full coverage loose mineral foundation with a powder-to-cream finish while maintaining a weightless feel on the skin.
Film Formation: It forms a lightweight, breathable film on the skin, providing a protective barrier without heaviness.
HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SHADE
You must first determine the undertone of your skin. Undertone is the subtle hue beneath your skin's surface. It can be cool (pink or rosy), warm (yellow or golden), or neutral (a mix of both). Knowing your undertone is key to choosing a foundation that complements your natural skin tone and makes your complexion look radiant.
• The veins on your wrist appear to have a greenish hue
• While holding a sheet of white paper next to your face in natural light, your skin appears to be yellow or golden
• You tend to look best in gold tone jewelry
• Shades of rust, mustards, and green clothing complement you best
• The veins on your wrist appear blue or purple
• While holding a sheet of white paper next to your face in natural light, your skin appears to be rosy or pink
• You tend to look best in silver tone jewelry
• Shades of black, blue, pink, and teal complement you best
• You are unable to determine if the veins on your wrists are either blue or green hued
• While holding a sheet of white paper next to your face in natural light, you are unable to detect a hue of golden or rose
• Your skin looks radiant in any shade of clothing
If you are neutral toned, it is ideal to actually shift from warm to cool foundation (and back again!) with the seasons. For example, in the colder months – when presumably you are getting less sun – I would opt for a Loose Mineral Foundation in the Cool category – shade1, 2 or 3. As the weather becomes warm and you are naturally getting a sun-kissed tan, I would shift to Loose Mineral Foundation in the Warm category – shade1, 2 or 3.
When in doubt, choose a lighter shade over a darker one. It is easier to adjust your shade with bronzer and contour than it is to adjust your application to a lighter shade.
Loose mineral makeup is incredibly forgiving, and easy to adjust with contour, bronzer, and blush. If you feel you have chosen a shade that is too light, save this for days you wish for a more subtle look, or simply add a few taps of a darker shade into the cap and create a custom blend. Be mindful if your skin shade adjusts easily throughout the seasons and consider multiple shades so you may custom adjust your application accordingly.

INGREDIENT INTELLIGENCE
VRAI IQ
Mica is a naturally occurring silicate mineral and used as a colorant that imparts a reflective shine for a shimmer effect, or for a healthy glow in cosmetic formulations. DERIVED FROM silicite minerals.
WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS INGREDIENT
Because concern exists in community forums over the safety of this ingredient although numerous testing has found it to be safe in cosmetic use, the independent Cosmetic Ingredient Review panel has deferred evaluation until the FDA does an assessment. Currently, the FDA lists mica as a color additive exempt from certification and deems it safe for using as a colorant in cosmetics and personal care products.
VRAI IQAlthough Mica is repeatedly found safe for use in cosmetic applications, and has been refined for cosmetic productions, controversy exists around this ingredient due to the dangers during mining. Direct inhalation of mica dust for prolonged periods of time can result in abrasion and scarring of the lung tissue. If you have found yourself in such situation where you have forgotten your miner’s mask, and will have prolonged exposure to raw mica minerals during mining, it would do you well to worry. If you are sweeping a stunning color across your eyelid or cheekbone for a youthful radiant glow, you may proceed with joyous abandon.
Amorphous silica in cosmetics, is used to improve the feel and texture of formulations and provides a matte appearance. It helps to absorb excess oil, helps makeup to adhere to the skin for long-wear, helps to evenly distribute pigments, and is used as a thickening agent. DERIVED FROM earth minerals. Discussion in community forums has called out the use of silica, however concerns are referring to an outdated use of crystalline silica which is not used in cosmetic formulation but rather, amoprhous silica is used in cosmetic formulations and has been found to be non-toxic.
WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS INGREDIENT
VRAI IQControversy exists over silicas (silicones) and their relation to silicosis however silicosis is caused by the inhalation of cystalline silica dust. Crystalline silica is not used in cosmetic use. Silicas used for cosmetic formulation is amorphous silica (non crystalline) so the association between silicosis from cystalline is irrelevant to the cosmetic formulations containing silica from amorphous silica. Although outdated research documenting health concerns still exist, it is rebuted by more current research and conslusions from 2016 Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) studies which concluded Triethoxycaprylylsilane safe for use in cosmetics when used in its proper form. There are nearly 200 siloxanes and siloxane derivities listed in the inventory of ingredients used as complied by the European Commission. Opinions and conclusions that categorize all silicones / siloxanes as one concers are inaccurate as each compound functions and preforms uniquely. The siloxane compounds used in VRAI cosmetics have been concluded as safe for use in cosmetics when formulated in their proper use form by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review and the European Union Commission.
Polymethylsilsesquioxane is a high-performing film former used to condition skin, enhance formula texture and act as a blurring agent. It adds softness to the formulation for smooth application and even coverage. Its compounds help to repel water, smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, create a blurred (airbrushed) effect, absorb excess oil, and is generally found to be non-irritating. DERIVED FROM the condensation and hydrolysis of the silicone methyltrimethoxysilane.
WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS INGREDIENT
Continued assessment by the Independent Cosmetics Ingredient Review panel has concluded that polymethylsilsesquioxane is safe as used in cosmetics, with no evidence or toxicity or sensitization. The silicone polymer is non comedogenic, and shows no evidence of clogging or irritating pores.

A compound of boron and nitrogen that functions as a slip modifier and provides a silky texture in cosmetic formulations to improve spreadability and blendability. DERIVED FROM reacting boric acid with ammonia. Its final form is non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-sensitizing. Boron Nitride is not listed as a nano-material in cosmetic formulations.

A sugar alcohol that acts as a humectant to help attract, and retain moisture in products and on the skin. It is well known for its ability to protect the ski barrier, and potentially improve skin elasticity.
DERIVED FROM: sugar
WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS INGREDIENT
A novel next generation hyaluronate with a first ever positive charge for enhanced skin adhesion, and absorption unlike first and second generation negatively charged hyaluronates. Studies have shown increased dermal thickness, and longer lasting hydration and skin resiliency.
DERIVED FROM hyaluronic acid.
WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS INGREDIENT
Aspen bark powder helps to absorb excess oil on the skin and helps to condition the skin. Because aspen bark naturally contains the compound salicin, it may be soothing to irritated skin and helps to balance pH.
WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS INGREDIENT
Lauroyl Lysine is derived from amino acids, lauric acid (coconut oil), and lysine, and functions as a skin-softening agent that leaves a silky feel on the surface. When used in makeup formulations, it assists in adhering powders to the skin, ensuring longer-lasting wear. DERIVED FROM coconut oil.

A compound of iron and oxygen, Iron Oxides are cosmetic pigments used to add color without the use of dyes, and to help protect the skin from visible light. DERIVED FROM natural minerals.
WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS INGREDIENT
Controversy over the use of Iron Oxides and mica minerals remain due to concern when exposed to iron oxides in their raw form during the mining process, as direct inhalation of raw materials can cause distress to the respiratory system.
VRAI IQIf you have found yourself in the unfavorable situation of having forgot your miner’s mask while mining for iron oxides, it would do you well to leave the mining site and take pause for concern. When used in cosmetic formulations, iron oxides have been proven to be non-comedogenic, non-toxic, non-allergenic, and repeatedly were shown to have no known adverse health effects.

Titanium dioxide is used in a variety of personal care, skin care, and cosmetic formulations used to enhance pigments, absorb and scatter light (sun filter), and improve application coverage. In cosmetic formulations it helps to thicken the formulation and is an opacifying agent. Titanium dioxide has been shown effective in protecting against both UVA and UVB rays. As its particles are too large to penetrate the skin, it remains topical on the skin surface, providing protection. Because of its gentle composition, it is ideal for those with sensitive or easily irritated skin to help soothe and protect. When titanium oxide is used for cosmetic formulations, it is micronized and coated and classified as a non-nanoparticle. DERIVED FROM naturally occuring oxide of titanium when reacted with oxygen.
WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS INGREDIENT
VRAI IQTitanium dioxide as a raw material for cosmetic use does not carry the same risk as Titanium dioxide in its raw form which has not been prepared for cosmetic use. Outdated studies done on Titanium dioxide in its raw form remain and continue to cause concern. Such studies were performed with direct inhalation of Titanium Dioxide in its raw, nanoparticle form (uncoated and not micronized) for a period of eight continuous hours. The study done in that form concluded serious adverse health effects. Titanium dioxide that has been prepared for cosmetic use (meaning it has been coated, micronized, and is a non-nanoparticle) has been found safe by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review panel and European Union when used in its proper form, in concentrations up to 25%
